How we source figures →

unverified coach order: RAIL (2025) lists one set's vehicles (a DVT, an open first, a kitchen buffet and three open standards) but not their order; the formation is written in an assumed order, five coaches in every set: TfW's guide says 'seven trains of five coaches'. The first three sets, from 2021, had four coaches and a DVT (RailAdvent, January 2021); no source read says when they were lengthened, Class 67 length: DB Cargo gives 19.71 m; the 225 Group gives 19.68 m, with 3.88 m high and 2.66 m wide, Mark 4 dimensions: 23.4 m coaches and 18.6 m DVT are Eversholt's figures for LNER's Mark 4s, the same type; height and width not given (the site's InterCity 225 drawing measures 3.768 m high from LNER's artwork), doors: one single-leaf door at each end of each coach side, and one on the kitchen buffet, as on LNER's Mark 4s (the site's InterCity 225 record); not checked on TfW's vehicles, the Class 67s: twelve modified for push-pull with TfW's Mark 4s (the 225 Group, an InterCity 225 heritage group, February 2026). Wikipedia, citing Railways Illustrated (June 2024), says TfW bought two of them; the 225 Group's table is unclear on which, five cycle spaces 'within separate engine carriage' (TfW's guide): presumably the DVT's van space; not confirmed, built: the Mark 4s in 1989-1992 (TfW) and the Class 67s in 1999-2000 (225 Group); left null because the set has two build dates, service speed: line speeds on TfW's routes, not 125 mph, limit them; no source gives their timetabled top speed
