History 7

  1. Transport for London takes over the former Silverlink Metro routes, launched as London Overground.
  2. The last Class 172 diesel trains leave, after the line is electrified.
  3. Electric Class 710 trains enter service.
  4. A 4.5 km extension opens from Barking to Barking Riverside.
  5. TfL announces names and colours for the six Overground lines.
  6. The Mayor launches the new line names; signs had started changing on 20 November.
  7. First Rail London takes over running the Overground from Arriva Rail London.
