Circle line
The Inner Circle was completed in 1884 by the Metropolitan and District railways, and its oldest section, of 1863, is the world's first underground railway. It was shown as a line of its own from 1949, and since December 2009 it has run as a 'tea-cup', from Hammersmith to Edgware Road and once round the loop.
