Siemens' Inspiro London design: the first deep-level tube train with air-conditioning, walk-through throughout, with wide double doors only. Cars without bogies ride on their neighbours. About 80% of the build is at a new factory in Goole, East Yorkshire.

- Not yet in passenger service. Four trains are testing in London, and entry into service has slipped twice from the original end-2025 target. The programme cost is £3.4bn. Peak service will rise from 24 to 27 trains per hour.
